Paradise Lost is a Southern gothic drama that depicts the story of the Forsythe family as they confront decades of lies and secrets.
Yates Forsythe (Josh Hartnett) uproots his family from Palo Alto to his hometown in Mississippi when he is called back by his parents (Nick Nolte and Barbara Hershey) to take over the family media business. His wife, Frances (Bridget Regan), is a fish-out-of-water in this town, but finds purpose when her patient Boyd Suttree, (Silas Weir-Mitchell) tips our mystery into motion by sharing a story of a fire, a two-headed pig man, and dead debutantes during one of his sessions. When Boyd suddenly stops seeking psychiatric care and his well-being is endangered, Frances springs into action. With the help of her receptionist, Gynnifer Green (Gail bean), she begins piecing together her husband’s past, his relationship with his sister Janus (Autry Haydon-Wilson), and what happened on the fateful night of the motel fire that sent an innocent man to jail.
